Does Base running aggressiveness matter?

I always see this stat but I don’t know what it effects. Does it effect being safe on a close play? Thanks!

I understood it as the likelihood they'll try to steal. High speed/low BRAGG means he's fast but won't try to steal. High speed/High BRAGG, he's off on the next pitch, and the next, and the next....
