Game Scripted or Just Broken

Played an event game just now and gace up a 2 run bomb to Hanley. Not mad when guys hit homeruns, the path of the ball seemed very odd though...
I replayed and for several frames, the ball hun motionless in the air, ahead of the person swinging, on a pitch he was VERY late on. Gave him a perfect...wtf?
With the game being played in realtime, it either picked the best time possible to freeze or the game chose to give him an HR...i lean to the latter. Wonder why i never go on runs of more than 7-8 games without losing..

Blame SDS for making the bonehead decision to only allow players to prestige their cards by playing online. A large chunk of the community enjoys DD without ever playing an online game and just want to prestige them. Should have been a grindier option for players to do offline and then you wouldn't have people begging for hits in a mode they don't want to be in in the first place. It's such an easy fix and they are too dumb or stubborn to do it (Cause people will just farm vs. CPU Rockies, as if stat begging isn't just as cheese?)

My guess is that what you saw on your screen wasn’t the same thing he saw. Rarely, but enough to recognize it as a thing, I’ll see something pretty weird, like the ball hit the ground and clearly roll behind a hard charging outfielder, only to have it snap back a second later to the outfielder trotting, having obviously caught the ball (and I’m out).
Might have been something like that. Not cool, but not nefarious.

Against popular opinion the answer is both

I was up 3-1 in the bottom of the 3rd. 3 errors later that the cpu didn’t count and my opponent wins when I get f’ing pissed and dashboard. F this scripted pile of dogshit game

Now you’ve stared noticing these things you’ll see multiple instances a day. I used to go nuts and clip them all, but I had to stop and just play the game at face value for what it is, it was driving me insane, frankly. Highlights include the old floating pitch you described, baserunners running backwards, line drives 5 feet above an infielder headed for the outfield hitting an invisible wall and down into the glove for an out, teleporting pitches that warp in mid air, crazy sweeping tags that result in runners being safe despite the ball being there an age before the runner.......
