No Money spent Mickey - Now what?
-
I'm an offline mostly player. I like the collection aspect of the game, but I've lost all taste for the gameplay. I just got Mickey and now I'm at a loss for anything to do or to look forward to. I want to use my DD squad, but there isn't anything for me. The only stat grinding I can do is innings for affinity, and that is a like using a rock hammer to tunnel out of prison.
Showdowns - The all or nothing aspect of these is terrible. Not to mention diamond fielding by scrubs and Perfect - Perfect lineouts all over the place. This was a good idea that has been poorly implemented. They require 45 minutes to 1 hour, and to wind up not progressing at all at the end of it is just bad design. The mini bosses should have given affinity as well, so that you actually got something for progressing through it.
I know that I'm ranting into the abyss. But after losing another showdown due to a robbed homerun I'm fecking steaming.

Assuming you sold everything you earned to fund mantle, I'd suggest buying back versions of cards that you would likely need for this years big honus equivalent collection. Aside from that, any that are going at or near quicksell value will likely go up when said collection is released, so there's a no risk opportunity to make a whole whack of stubs. Worst case scenario you can always list/quick sell and not lose any of your cash

Same situation as the OP. I actually can’t say I’m 100% NMS tho since I won some PSN cards doing trivia to finish the AL Central/East.
Since the rich get richer, I plan on getting all 3 bosses this program for the voucher, and like it was said above, I’m gonna buy the cards I really want to use in RS and what I would need for other collections.

I focused on TA after finishing mantle nms a few weeks ago. I'm also collecting everything I can for a Honus collection, especially near qs value.
I was mostly single player but I'm now trying events, especially for TA goals. They're fun

I wouldn’t assume there is a Honus collection until they announce it. It was new last year and they might change it. Work on TA’S there are some end game cards in this stage leading to more next stage
-
The showdowns are ridiculous. I don't know how people can just skip to the end and beat these first try. I can't even come within five runs after 12 attempts at the 3rd inning one... Most of the time I lose to the first boss. ugh

While obviously nothing is confirmed, the lay out of the collections and the way they are doing things its probably a safe bet to say they will do one. More likely they will then won't is the common consensus from everything I've read.
That being said, anything you buy at or near quicksell value is a zero risk investment with a high profit ceiling potential.

I said the same thing 2-3 months ago when I finished collections....what I did was just play everything save stubs...got bored flipped alot some nights next thing I know is that I got over million stubs an nothing I want...then this week happened...I finished braves, reds, Phillies, redsox angels affinity as those were the closest to being done...had even more stubs today then they dropped he derby cards I bought all of them..now waiting for tomorrow an I still got over 600k in stubs an if I sell the rest of what I was trying to flip I'll be back at a million...sad part is I've only played 2-3 rank games and about to force myself to do it...I'll feel bad for the guys I play because I'll b starting in the lowest ranks an they'll see my team an go wtf lol

I’m with you, but I have a few hundred k stubs worth of flashback and legend cards I can just sell back if it never happens. A lot is fairly cheap too. Only thing crazy priced is the early program golds going for 10k. Other than that you can get 99 Scott for 18k and 96 Molitor for 7k.
