I just want to say, I love showdown this year. I never really enjoyed playing offline last year, but showdown changed that for me. It relaxes me 95% of the time.

I just think it should get the March To October treatment. Even if I fail the final boss, I want to feel like I've made at least a little progress. Maybe something along the lines of 1 voucher per mini-boss and then 3 at the end? Or at the very least, one voucher after the second mini-boss.

I think this would alleviate a lot of the frustrations most of us have with showdown. It's easy to get a bit miffed when you lose the final one and have just spent 30 minutes to an hour for no progress. At least even if I lose the finale, I know I made a little bit of progress.

That would help for sure. I detest showdowns but if I could get something for them even if I dont win the whole thing it would help.

I second this whole heartedly. Nothing worse than grinding away and seeing all those vouchers disappear as cpu fielders make the most miraculous plays known to man.

Mto rewards different stages, I believe it should be the same with showdowns. As it is, it is all or nothing.

I like the packs on the mini bosses, I want them to let us skip individual moments

It’s a good idea, but I wouldn’t want only 3 vouchers for skipping right to the final boss.

The problem with giving vouchers after each mini boss is that it would dissuade people from playing the whole showdown.

Playing a full showdown takes around an hour, and you get 5 vouchers. Most people can beat the first mini boss pretty easily, and it takes around 5 minutes to beat that. So you could in theory get 5 vouchers in 25 minutes.

Like another poster said they wouldn't do this because of the same reason they got rid of the show pack on the first mini boss for some of the original showdowns. You could just farm the packs/vouchers because you can do the draft, quit out of the first 3 moments and still pretty easily beat the first mini boss most of the time. Maybe a different suggestion is different level showdowns, minimum level is veteran which gets you the lowest number of vouchers and goes up to Legend difficulty where every moment is an elimination challenge but you get 10 vouchers if you beat it and maybe has only 6 moments before final boss.

It would be good also if showdown counted towards team infinity progress ie innings with the players. And even towards daily missions like hits with certain teams/ innings pitched. It would be cool if if throughout the showdown it tallied total stats like a postseason series, so you could easily see how your player are performing. At the moment none of the stats you get during showdown are recorded anywhere

I like the idea of showdown counting towards affinity progress and I think the other way to eliminate some of the frustration in showdown would be to implement a "continue" system on bosses, kind of like continues in old school games. You get three continues each showdown run, which can be used on any boss. Each one costs 500 stubs (which is totally fair in my opinion, since showdowns pay out stubs pretty liberally). I think this would fix a mode which in my opinion is pretty close to being a perfect and super fun offline mode
