Can the CAP keep up with these cards?
-
I use my CAP at C and have him maxed out with maxed out equipment. With all these new high end cards coming out it seems as if there is a better player at every position in the field.
I am thinking about starting a RP CAP as I feel that is the weakest position in the game? Would like to get ppl thoughts on this?
Also any chance SDS will release better equipment to close the gap between these newer cards and a maxed out CAP?

Depends where you’re using your CAP. For most positions outside of the OF its doesn’t get better than your CAP as it’s a switch hitter

My CAP still out hits my prestige Mantle.

You can get a switch hitting CAP catcher to have 117 power from both sides and 99 arm strength and accuracy. I’ll take that over any catcher available in the game.
-
The funky delivery reliever throwing 102 with a 71 mph change is tough to remove from the bullpen.
-
The real question is, can these players keep up with the CAP yet? CAP is usually always a top 2-3 player on most people's teams. Only problem is the lack of a secondary position.

I have mine at catcher. Really just hoping for a catcher who played for the Rockies at some point but the only realistic option would be a flashback Lucroy lmao.
So the CAP will stay unless there’s a catcher I really like that comes out. Only one I think might replace him is an SS Pudge. I need at least decent speed there. Guys like Weiters and Posada clog the bases too much.
But I would take a slight downgrade to use a real player. Just haven’t found one I like enough yet.

I am strictly talking attributes. Not performance.
Because you have to choose the type of player (contact, balanced, power) the CAP will always be lacking one or more of the important attributes.
Many if not all of the top cards now have elite contact, power, vision, fielding, and speed.
This can not be replicated with the current CAP structure.

A balanced cap is a switch hitter with all hitting attributes near or above 100, diamond defense, and more than serviceable amount of speed. You even get to pick the swing. It don't get much better than that really.

Idk man. 100+ contact and power. Diamond fielding. 99 arm. 60-70 speed (for a catcher). What exactly is it lacking?

Name a better shortstop than your maxed-out switch-hitting cap? It doesn't exist.

CAP is the best card in the game. That being said, I hate the concept of CAPs in online play and have vowed to never use one.

I need a good stance and weight/height for a 89 balanced 2B. I cant seem to find the right stance.
