So I played an event game last night and something weird happened, hopefully someone can give me an answer as to what I experienced. As I always do in these games I do my best to win the game. I don’t serve up meatballs to my opponent just so they can prestige cards they won’t even use two months down the road. I play the game as it was intended to be played which is competitively. Well apparently that makes some people mad and they resort to cheap tactics like intentionally hitting my batters over and over and over again until the game is called. I’ve seen this happens several times in this event but something weird happened in this particular game. In one sequence my opponent tried to hit my batter and failed to do so. This resulted in a the ball going to the back stop. Bases were loaded at the time and when the catcher went back to get the ball the animation completely paused. As if the loser I was facing had just dashboarded the game. As I do in this instance I just waited it out thinking that he had actually quit. However this was not the case. The animation was frozen which is made me think I was disconnected. I sat there for like 3-4 minutes and thought to myself that it was taking an inordinate amount of time to return to main menu and that’s when I noticed my runners were not frozen. So I stated my runners to see what would happen. And I scored two run before the animation resumed. Can someone please explain to me what happened there. Was the user trying to use a hack or glitch to cause me to quit out unknowingly or was it truly a animation glitch. Maybe someone has seen this before.

NO.. the game just has lag issues. What happenned on your screen isn't necessarily what happened on your opponents screen. I played a game yesterday where dylan carlson rifled a shot down the line and on my screen it showed the ball in the corner but the next frame said i was out. The guy i was playing said that on his screen he threw me out at second but i didn't even make it to first base on my screen.

That doesn’t explain the 3-4 minutes I sat there looking at a frozen screen where the catcher was in the act of chasing down the ball

I’ve seen what you’ve said on several occasions and just knock it up to server connectivity but this was something on a whole different level of weird

When the dylan carlson thing happened to me, i was looking at the screen as a dsync. It wouldnt let me do anything and eventually my guy grooved one down the middle and i got control back. It is still most likely a dsync problem in your case too. This game is to big for the consoles as of right now.
