99 Ortiz, 99 Mariano, 99 Walker - 5th Inning Bosses

That David Ortiz card is ridiculous, but how on earth could I pass on The Sandman. These guys make Larry Walker look like a [censored]. This is going to be one hard choice. Early indication is the Ortiz card.

The legendary sinkerballer Mariano Rivera is the obvious choice. His sinker was so good that it became the only pitch he ever threw. When you think of Mariano Rivera you think of the sinker.
Cutter.
Sarcasm.
Sincere apologies.

Ortiz has better contact the Thames that is it. I’m going walker and will eventually pick up Rivera and ortiz
-
Mariano “5 pitches” rivera looks nasty.
-
I'm taking Rivera no doubt about it. This is only the fifth program they still need to release 99 griffey, gwynn, honus wagner, teddy, babe, etc...... Booger will be an after thought in a month.

To all the people who have argued with me on here for months that Mantle will be the best card all year, I present Walker.
I'm not huge on it, but...Told ya so. Once again, don't complete LS collections, there are better cards for a million plus less stubs.
How exactly is he better? their attributes are very similar the fact that mantle has way more speed and is a switch hitter makes his card much better. You are way out of line here.
SDS literally did a side by side comparison, Walker is the better bat. I have Mantle, I don't regret it, but we are in the 5th inning and Walker absolutely measures up. There will be at least 6 more inning programs, and those cards aren't going to be worse than these. Sorry man, it's this way every year, and it's ok.
I mean, are we seriously going to argue who is the better card here? If you want Larry Walker but own Mickey Mantle, it's not like they play the same exact position. You can play Mantle at CF and Walker at RF.
...and even if we really want to argue which is the "better card," it's completely subjective based on how much each player likes their swings and animations, as we all know that is much more important than comparing their actual attributes.
-
All I know is I'll definitely be picking Mariano Rivera, but in all likelihood I'll end up buying the other two, as well.
These cards look sick! Like even Ortiz has 40 speed, so it's not like he'd be a base-clogger.
-
I'll be picking Ortiz and buying Mo...or the reverse; whichever is cheaper at the time.
-
This is honestly the first time the show that I genuinely want all 3 bosses because all 3 would make the squad in some form (though Ortiz is probably at best a PH since Thames is better)
-
Well. Well. Finally an inning that's enticing enough to have me pick the game back up and shake the dust off of it. I knew they'd eventually do it. Two power hitting lefties plus the best closer of all time? Done and done.

Yeah I'm doing the same, Larry Walker card looks unreal but I have no interest in using him. Papi and Mo are must haves

I was gonna say, with all of the likes for the sinker comment I thought either I completely missed the sarcasm or this community doesnt know Mariano very well.

He’s not better than mantle but there is a serious argument he’s better then Shef with that defense tho.

And it's only the 5th inning, cards will keep getting better. I've learned my lesson, I won't be locking cards in for collections in future years. I'll just be patient.

Walker is a diamond fielding great hitting decently fast outfielder? How is he not interesting, he will be an endgame outfielder. Papi gets replaced by Thames as soon as anyone hits prestige level

Like I said his card looks great but I like using players I'm a fan of. Personally just have no interest in getting him.

Mariano is an end game reliever. Walker looks to be an end game outfielder although there will be many options. Big Papi is a great bat, but there are still some end game 1st basemen coming. I'm curious to see how low the price gets for them in the market because I'm sure many people will collect all three
