New Crowdsourced Feature Coming to the-show-zone.com

Hey everybody! I’m sure a lot of you have frequently used the-show-zone.com as a useful resource to see things from live series collection prices to, more recently, the new true overall feature that blows the cap off of the in-game overalls to better compare high level players.

Today we’re releasing a new feature that we’re going to be crowdsourcing in order to collect enough data. Basically, the goal is to get as many people from the community to submit their online stats with their players. This will help us to create a method that can evaluate, for example, the expected slugging percentage for a player that is going to release in the coming few days. Basically, we are trying to isolate the stats that actually matter when you’re trying to win a game. (eg. not discipline)

It’s a very quick process. If you go into Diamond Dynasty -> My Squad -> Standings Stats & History -> Statistics -> and sort by plate appearances, you can very quickly get some of your most used players, and submit your stats.

What you’re seeing is really just the tip of the iceberg. We plan to roll out a sort of “community overall” stat that reflects how players actually perform instead of the current SDS overall. This will be useful to identify players that consistently over perform their overalls (think Mondesi).
