What’s everyone’s opinion on inning programs? To me I hate them, they’re lazy and uninspired. It allows sds to do the barebones amount of work in a month or however long the program lasts. Mlb 17 was the best year cuz the programs were fun they way they were set up

Inning programs are way better than 17s model. I think you are just a bit blinded by nostalgia. 17s model also lasted a month in between releases, the cards weren’t great other than 4-Oswalt, Hanley, Lincecum, and Rollins( two of which were released in the first 2 inning programs this year). Even the cards in the main program that you got for completing the smaller ones weren’t great. Lou Brock was a great pinch runner, Vida blue was very good, and Jackie was okay. Miggy and Ripken were garbage because of the topspin. Not to mention you can complete inning programs for free. The Hanley program required you to complete the Marlins LS collection and the Lincecum one required you to collect a gold lincecum that was an early RS reward and was stupid expensive. 19 and 20s content completely blows anything before it out of the water, even if the gameplay isn’t great

Yeah I prefer innings to the 17 model. I have not been thrilled with player choices, but the model is great

The system works because it can be completed in a number of ways, 17 had a defined way to complete the program. Also look at what is included in the program its self Conquest Map, Showdown run, 2 player programs, collection missions and small task mission. Lazy would be to release a program at the start of the month and then nothing else which was the 17 and 18 model. 19 and 20 there is a steady stream of content added to a program over the course of it.
