So I’ve largely shrugged at all of the “Fix your game” posts but it’s getting more and more difficult to do as this garbage keeps biting me in the [censored].

First, bases loaded, slow dribbler to the SS side of the mound. I try to get it with P who had the best shot at it for a 1-2-3 DP but my SS was selected and P ran away from the ball like it was COVID infected. Awful.

Fly ball to the LF gap, CF is selected so I go with it and dive, figuring LF will back up. I miss with the dive but instead of backing up, LF dove too, missed, and it rolled to the walk for a triple. Disgusting.

The topper of it all: Runner on 1st, 1 out. Scorching liner to 1B, caught, and my 1B was 2 steps closer to first than the runner’s lead. I hit O to run to tag the bag for the DP and he throws it to the effing pitcher who’s not even halfway to first. Infuriating.

I get that it’s a game and isn’t going to be perfect but this kind of stuff is indefensible.

Oh there was one more splendid occurrence, this time on offense. Runner at first, I initiate the steal and it ends up being a wild pitch that goes to the backstop and ricochets back halfway to the mound. My runner obviously made it to second easily and I was waiting to get back to hitting when I realize my runner never stopped and with NO INPUT FROM ME was heading to third. Easily thrown out and absolutely absurd, especially when runners like to freeze on balls clearly to the gap.
