John Olerud my fav Blue Jay and hitter. Just an overall nice guy and incredible swing. Never played a day in the minors!
Loved Greg Maddux too. My son is named Maddox btw
I'm also 36
Of course Roy Halladay I'll always have a special place for too
Love it, my daughter’s middle name is Shea

Junior, Mattingly, Bo Jackson, favorites changed often, but Junior was probably number 1

Easily Kirby Puckett for me.
-
Longterm it was Donnie Baseball; but it all started for me with Reggie.
-
Dale Murphy til I was 10 or so then Smoltzie, Gant, Justice, Chipper.
Non Braves I loved Junior Ryne Sandberg and Grace

I grew up outside of Toronto and was 15 when Jays won World Series. Robbie Alomar was my fav...I also played 2nd in baseball. My first round with Jays was in 85 when I was 8. Loved Tony Fernandez, George Bell, Moseby and Barfield.
So Alomar. As I got older, Delgado, Halladay and then Donaldson....
All-time fav though Don Mattingly....that cat could swing a bat!

Greg Maddux, named a son after him
-
Cal Ripken Jr and Piazza

Three Finger Brown.
-
Sandberg

When I was little, it was Alfonso Soriano.
I’m only 20 though, so it’s been Bryant ever since 2015.
-
Prince Fielder, Braun, and Yelich
-
When I was little, it was hard not to have it be Jeter, but I’m 22, so once I started REALLY watching and going to giants games (I’m about three hours from the bay) when I was about 10, Buster Posey and Matt Cain. Also hard to not say MadBum or the Freak

As a kid in the bleachers watching "The Kid" hit long balls at Fiscalini Field in 1988 and then watched his whole career and collecting numerous game-used and autograph memorabilia (including the 2nd base used during his number retirement game which has his logo on it). There is no doubt who my favorite player growing up was!

Yankees fan from Baltimore (never got along with the neighborhood kids so I found other interests).
Derek Jeter: Best SS of all time (sorry Rip)
Chad Curtis (before he became a nonce): decent all around player but when he told off that reporter who tried to ether Pete Rose he earned a fan
Mariano Rivera: Most dominate non starter and the only unanimous entry into Cooperstown
Also, I am not 36

Favorite player of all time is Manny Ramirez... for a Red Sox fan, not many guys were as fun to watch as Manny and Pedro.
Favorite player growing up though would have to say was Griffey Jr. or Mo Vaughn. -
Frank Thomas
