Monitor suggestions

Thinking of looking into monitors but not sure where to start, been asking around and wondered what you guys would suggest? Preferably something cheaper

BenQ 27 inch monitor. Best bang for your buck.

I like Paul Monitor
-
Rtings.com and go the the PS4 category.

I waited for awhile constantly on Facebook marketplace searching for a listing of a 1ms HDMI gaming monitor for a decent price finally found one for $150 24” asus 1ms and I’m telling you it’s worth it.
-
Sceptre 24” 165mhz 1ms
Bought on Amazon for 159.00. Worth every penny . -
Is it literally as simple as plugging monitor and ps4 together?

Yep, the monitor will have an hdmi input and it works just like hooking up a ps4 to a tv. In fact, you probably would never know someone is using a “monitor” because it’s indistinguishable from a small(ish) TV
I have the 27” BenQ GL2706pq, which no longer appears to be for sale on Amazon. But I’m sure you can find whatever the newer version of that model is. It was maybe $150? $200? Not a huge investment, but it makes a very, very noticeable difference. BenQ is usually cheaper than the bigger names and I think the quality is great.
Tbh, the game sucks so much right now that I’ve currently got my ps4 hooked up to my big TV because I don’t really care about being competitive this year. The big tv looks better and it’s attached my good sound system, so I am being a total “casual” and just playing for funsies.

Just curious, but what mode do you have yours in? I have mine on standard but didn’t know if it needed to be on FPS or etc. rather than standard.

That’s a funny & good question...When I bought the monitor about 2 years ago I posted on here asking what everyone’s settings were and this one guy that was a top 50 player wrote this long customized settings reply to me. I followed his recommendations during setup and haven’t touched it since lol

I love the asus 24” vg245h 1ms that I bought a few months ago. Took me a bit to even notice the difference but it is way better than playing on a tv
