This is the reason why its so dreadful playing ranked seasons this year. Went from making world series consistently on all past years game to barely playing online
Here is chipper frozen during a run down:
Here is Reggie Jackson taking his sweet [censored] time getting back up and throwing the ball while the runner is scoring:
And here is how somehow the guy i sent home returns back to 3rd without me asking him to return right before he scores:

Player retention is what’s wrong with this game. The players who defend this game have no excuse and they know that so they come up with fake statements and personal attacks. Those players are the ones who rely on the bs in the game for part of their success.

The players who defend are one of two people. One they play strictly offline, or two they are so horrible they cried until sds made it a game they could compete in . I love the content but the game play is horrible. A pitcher shouldn’t miss his spot multiple times every at bat. A good okay shouldn’t be a homerun when a perfect perfect or a good squared is an out with players over the 80 threshold

I dont understand how we go from a solid game defense wise in 2019 to this crapshoot. I think the only changes they shouldve made from 19 was to reduce the amount of good/ok and to make pitching input actually matter.

Looking at the 3rd one (guy returning to 3rd). It does appear to be an issue with stick base running as you clearly never targeted that runner to return him to 3rd. I don’t use sticks so I don’t know whether I’m right there, but I reckon that’s a bug*.
I use classic (buttons, avoiding triggers at all costs) and never have base running issues, as I’m sure my fellow classic users would concur. I’m not blowing my own trumpet or saying that what happened there in your clip is acceptable, but if you want base running to be something that is no longer a cause of frustration, my advice is to switch to classic and use buttons and d-pad to control your runners. You won’t regret it (until it somehow gets messed up in a future version).
If you do, remember not to rely on L1/R1 (advance all) as you’ll end up with worse problems. You’ve been warned
*Edit: bug that caused the player to return to 3rd when returning the player to 1st.

My prediction is it’s going to be worse next year when they go multi platform and they’ll have all the brand new players to get hooked on the game. The best way to get someone hooked is give them some fabricated success so they feel good about themselves and keep playing.

I literally just had that happened, I sent a guy to third and we hanged to go home so I button pressed him to stay at third and for some ungodly reason it sent him home again. SDS has no idea how to make a great game start to finish its embarrassing

I stole a base today. Got a great jump and then my player will freeze in mid run for a solid second then get thrown out. I think it had to be lagging when the catcher had his Meter pop up or something

Ill have to look into switching to classic baserunning

Multiple Base Runners; the worst part of this game. I focus on the lead runner, then hope the others do what I tell them.
