I really haven’t tried other styles at all. I’ve always done classic I guess just cause I enjoy playing that way. Meter seems like it sucks

Pure analog is well worth the effort. It's way better for accuracy, i.e. controlling where your pitches go so you don't hang pitches right over the middle of the plate, and even then it still happens. Meter is probably the second best option if you want to play competitively imo. There's definitely a learning curve, but over time it should pay off. Both meter and pure analog require more variable user input than classic, so good quality inputs should improve your chances of success rather than just leaving it up to the per 9's.

Thats what I'm saying, if it "Still Happens" with Analog... how often does it happen compared to Classic?
Does it even matter in this versions game. Previous years, I'm sure it did.

Don’t you still have to time the release in the classic pitching? I think I’ll give the pure analog a shot to see how it goes.

I only use classic. I’m not really that great of a player though. Haven’t made it to World Series but division series. I would say I’m better at pitching than hitting to be honest. Did come 1 out away from a no no

I'm in a slump with Meter. Just trying to switch it up..

Have you tried the other pitching styles?
Why do you stick to classic?

As someone who has always used meter, it's absolutely unusable this year. It honestly might be worse than using directional hitting.

    Analog, of course.

Personally, I dislike the control method, but you get accustomed to it. Give it 1 week, it will be ugly at first but it's totally worth it. Look up some videos explaining how it works that will be most helpful -- there's some tips like you don't have to pull straight down and how quick you flick up determines pitch power.

SDS doesn't explain it, but it's not just push the button and let go whenever. I used this method for quite a while, and it definitely makes a difference when you let the button go. I believe that it factors in meter pitching, because there were two or three different release points for the button. I was using the last release point, where the ball was getting ready to come out of the hand. I judged it by the position of his feet, and when timed properly was extremely accurate. All the pitchers were different however, and I just gave up and went to analog.

When I started playing the show 18 I used meter. A friend told me to switch it up to pure analog. It certainly took a little time to get used to it, but I was never the same pitcher. I make it to World Series every month and rank in the 1000’s, but with an ERA of close to 6.00. So basically I have to hit my way up. My recommendation is to stay with what you feel comfortable, because what works for me doesn’t always work for you. Minor changes may be more useful, Camera, pitch ball marker.. etc. (Just my recommendation)

I use Classic only. One reason is laziness, but your reasoning is reason number 2. If the ball is going to go wherever it wants why waste time trying to time it up. Plus I'm just not good at analog or meter even. I do notice that you can press and hold the button and it will vibrate. I try to release the button right when it vibrates. I don't know if it actually does anything, but it seems like if a dude has a 94-97 MPH FB, He gets closer to 97 when I do this. It also helps me with my timing of pitches. Again. it's all mental and probably does nothing, but it feels like it to me.

I use analog pitching but last night I was actually playing a RS game last night a RS game and pitches kept hanging with Newhouser and getting crushed and I had the exact thought you had and thought if they’re hanging I may as well use classic and pitches didn’t hang over the middle on me anymore but I couldn’t hit the strike zone at all though lol

20 is the first year I switched to analog pitching after using classic for years. In my opinion there is a huge difference. With analog I feel like you have more control of your pitches. Classic I noticed this year that I could pick my spots, but the control wasn't there like in years past.

    For me

    Analog
    Pros:
    High control to user input
Ability to pitch on the corners
Con: Slightly off user input frequently results in balls dead center, confidence can make pitcher unusable
Good against: High pci skilled and patient players, Directional, Analog hitters
Bad Against: Center swingers (maddening to hold a player to 0 or a couple hits all game only to watch as your pitcher gets tired your inputs mattering less and less and the ball magically drifting back toward center)

    Pulse
Pro: No real threat of a meatball dead center, confidence doesn't cripple user input
Con: No real threat of hitting a corner
    Good against: Center swingers
Bad against: Skilled PCI players, patient hitters, directional, analog

I tend to only use Analog when playing higher levels of RS. Event and BR are all pulse.

I use analog, It has its ups & downs but when I throw a perfect pitch it almost always hits the exact spot where I threw it whereas when I’ve tried using pulse even when I throw a perfect pitch it often still misses the spot. Just my experience.

Holding longer increases velocity and decreases accuracy. I honestly don't think it matters all that this year.

That was my thoughts too, but it always seemed like just pressing the button resulted the ball going anywhere more often.
