Is this a glitch? Should I start over?

I am up to 2026...so far my created starting pitcher has been
- moved to the bullpen with no chance to escape
- traded four times SF > WAS > TOR > PIT >SF
but the big problem is EVERY season, no matter how well my pitcher is performing, he gets sent down to AAA. After 37 MLB appearances my guy has a 3.00 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 48/10 K/BB...and a one-way ticket to Sacramento (which they say EVERY is "temporary" but never is.
Is this a common thing? My OVR is 81, which is better than four of the guys the kept in the bullpen over mine. At this point I'm just continuing with my guy to see what happens when he gets to free agency but if this is a thing I can fix by starting over I'd just as soon do that.

I know it is difficult to start over when you have put so much time into it but I usually start over when the BS first begins. RTTS is supposed to be what it is like for a real ball player. Most draftees don't ever make it to MLB in real life. So I would assume that SDS has programmed in that sometimes your player won't make it. As far as the logic in that your guy is better than the ones on the team, well I have found over the last 12 years that the AI management makes no sense.
