Quick Counts Locked when friends challenge each other

Hey guys,
Just wondering why Quick Counts is locked “on” in online multiplayer, when either friend sends the challenge? Is there a way to unlock it? Thanks!

You should be able to change it when you send the challenge.

Common sense tells me that’s how it should be but we’ve both issued 4 challenges each to see if anything different happens and, so far, no dice. Weird stuff.
