Hitting outcome is random

Just watched a YouTube video by twin gaming and in it he hit a foul ball home run and the feedback said he was just early squared up. He then went into batter analysis in which the feedback read off perfect timing and perfect contact. This just proves that it doesn’t matter how well you time and square up the ball. The game is going to randomize whether you get a hit or not

I hit perfect-perfect into double plays more since the last patch. But I hit homeruns on early swings lol.

I'd say about 90% of the time my early/just early swings go foul. I have also had a lot of hits lately with good timing going to opposite field. I haven't been able to tell after the fact though if the batter was balanced or an extreme pull hitter.
