Classic stadium lag?

Does playing in classic stadiums create the lag issues that people talk about with the MLB stadiums? I generally select either Crosley or Forbes because I like the way they look in the game, but I gather that only the visiting team tends to experience any lag that results, and I don't want to unknowingly cause problèms by selecting laggy stadiums.

For what it's worth, I don't know that I've ever noticed lag as the visiting team in an MLB stadium; I'm equally bad at hitting home or away.
