Red circle in the outfield

Maybe I'm late to the party but is this glitched? I purposely play those conservatively because I don't want to dive and give up a triple. It always goes past me anyway even when I'm in perfect position.

It’s not a dive indicator, it just means it’ll be a tough catch that you’ll possibly miss.

Anybody having these come up on balls hit right at you?
Routine pop flys and a few times now the red circle pops up and the fielders lovks into a weird animation where I take one step forward, he goes to the side, camps right to the left and let's it short hop to his glove? Hadn't had that happen until this patch.
Thought it was pretty weird and would hate for that to come up at a costly moment. -

I almost never see the “extreme catch indicator” pop up. I was laughing so hard when FS Trammell with his Diamond fielding in left field just stood there and let the ball drop on top of his cleats! Lol. It happened twice in just one game.

Its the extreme catch indicator. Dive or attempt to catch on the run at your own risk. Misplays are very high if attempting these
