Pitches down the middle?

I'm not sure its pitches being forced down the middle but feedback is all over the place. I don't have this issue vs CPU, only in RS.
What do you mean feedback is all over the place?

I use meter so there’s different outputs from there already.
BUT,
I have had the big yellow bar with 99 kluber and he hangs a slurve on 0-2 right down the D when the pitch is aimed low and away with the blue trail AND perfect pitch accuracy as it claimsSo, I just haven’t seen this. I do know that if my pitcher has low energy or a certain pitch has low confidence, I expect that there will be more variability in the result, even with perfect input. So, maybe I avoid using those pitches in certain instances where I really want to hit my spot, and that’s why I don’t see this issue. But even when I do use those pitches, I still don’t see good input on the corners resulting in a pitch down the middle.
Now, we can have a discussion whether those things should play a role when you have “perfect” input. But, I don’t want to go there.
Maybe this is why I don’t see this. Maybe I am just expecting some variability in certain situations. That’s why it doesn’t frustrate me as much as it does others.

Another reason I think it is connection based. I have zero issues against the cpu unless I just miss which is understandable. Online is completely different.

What do you mean by connection issues in this case? Do you notice a difference in this between when you hardwire or use your hotspot? I am hardwired, and I don’t see this as an issue. My question was meant to be about online only.

Games have to code for the different pings in the game. All games have to have this code. You simply can't match people with 30 ping against people with 150 ping no matter what you try to do. The game will not be fair. It is just a fact that most gamers don't have good internet. Therefore, these companies code to try to give the best results to the majority of gamers. It is a business decision to help the "greater good." Problem is people with really good or really bad internet get left in the cold.
If the game matched based on ping, the game would be smoother for everyone. 95 would look more like 95 at all times instead of 90 and 120. I think that is why you also see these patches not really helping. They are tweaking things but the root of the problem is not getting addressed. This has been an issue since 17 and hasn't changed.

I don’t disagree with you. But, how would that affect perfect pitches in this case? I can see this impact how fast the kids ball looks to me or how what I see on my screen is different than what you see when the ball is in play. But, i swear I have never had this pitching issue with the ball going down the middle on perfect input, and I don’t think you can get much better internet than what I have.

There is a variability to each pitch. Each one has its own confidence and control, although not viewable on the game. MovieGamingTV on YouTube recently made a video show some of these stats for pitchers. I know energy and total confidence is also factored in. When I throw pitches with a perfect input but lower confidence I understand getting hung and rocked. But having multiple instances when 99 Kluber has the big bar and i aim slurves at the other batters box and they end up down the middle, that’s when I lose my mind lol.

I am not trying to just blindly defend sds here. And, I will admit other issues, but I honestly don’t know what you mean when you say this. I am not saying that this doesn’t happen to you. I’m just trying to understand why it doesn’t happen to me. In almost 200 online games I have not once had a pitch down the middle when I had perfect input and was trying to throw the ball in the corner or out of the zone. Now, I’m not saying that it hits the perfect spot I wanted it to. As I said above, I expect some variability in the result.
As for my sanity, that is in question after 61 days of quarantine. But, I don’t believe that would impact how I’m viewing this game.

There are many things that have been done right by real baseball. Some more runs on non-HR hits would be fun but that’s a game to game thing and I would like to be able to bounce pitches without them ending up in someone’s nachos in the upper deck lol. Plenty of bounced pitches and I’ve had good enough AND bad enough pitching input to deserve more awful pitches in the dirt

Similar to when you are playing COD and on your screen you are around the corner but get shot. The server doesn't see you as being around the corner. Therefore, the shot counts.
I obviously don't have access to the data that SDS does so it is all just speculation on my part based on my experiences and research. A ping indicator would also allow me to see how my network is doing. That is what I liked about PUBG. They didn't start with you being able to access your network settings on console but eventually did. When wired on fiber, I rarely pinged over 30 to servers in both Ohio and Texas. That ping is excellent. I highly doubt mine on The Show is much different.

Similar to why the top players are always the top players. Yes, they are skilled to an extent but they have few of these issues. The one thing they more than likely don't change is their internet. You are either lucky with your internet or you are not. Some games I hit everything and have none of these issues. That is why I don't get to caught up in the wins either. I figure there is a good chance that my opponent was dealing with the issues I frequently see. Regardless of what people tell you, The Show does not have a level playing field. They could if they wanted to but they don't.
I have pretty much been the same player since I started in 17. My win % is about the same. I am constantly adjusting. I still win games when these issues are present but I have to adjust how I do things. I can adjust to hitting by seeing more pitches or starting the pci in a different place or looking for a pattern. I prefer to track the ball when I hit but that is impossible when the pitch looks like it is 120. When that happens pitch recognition is very tough also. What I can't do however, is adjust to constantly throwing balls down the middle of the plate on good input.
-
The route your internet provider takes influences that. For example, playing FIFA and doing a traceroute to their servers, I could see I had extra hops that provided packet loss that negatively affected my online gameplay. You can do that with the FIFA server as they publish the address, however the Show server is unpublished.

Thanks for all the input. This is great. Here’s what it sounds like....
It is possible for me to not have this problem due to my internet connection, but others could. I will now stop silently judging those individuals that post about this.
Thank you for keeping this thread helpful and not toxic.
