Bunt cheese

Casually playing the event just fo find out bunt cheese is back. Played a bunt god, knew exactly how to get on, where to bunt to and somehow successfully sent his runners every single time while bunting the baseball in play. I wasn't predictable either, this guy definitely knew what he was doing and my bet is it's all he does too.
He scored 5 on me in the first inning this way. No single defense had a chance. Bunt defense - nope. Halfway - nope. Infield in - nope. This is just what this game needed.

I said this last week but everyone told me I don't know what I'm doing.

Sounds like those people haven't faced this level of bunt cheese before.

If you run across one of these guys you have no chance. They somehow bunt to second, past the pitcher, with the infield in and still end up safe.

I almost got beat by a dude in RS who employed this strategy with a team that was probably 8 OVR lower than mine but had all the speedy players.
He finally quit when I hit 3 moonshots of him but I was getting nervous and quite frustrated that's for sure haha

I scored 4 back the next inning, but didn't get rewarded on good swings after that. I had runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs and absolutely demolished a ball down the middle good/squared up for a lineout to left field. That's what made me extra sick lol, a scrub like this being able to bunt in 5 runs but I line out on a swing like that.

Yesterday I won a game on a squeeze bunt with Ty Cobb on 3rd base. I'd be dumb not to bunt lol. Once in a while it's ok but not constantly.

I wouldn't do that myself, but I wouldn't be mad if my opponent did that either. It's different when you know precisely how to cheese your way to a victory by doing it exclusively.

Tried it, didn't work.
What about it didnt work? Did the 2B take too long to field and get the ball out of his glove? I am asking because I switched to buttons, and I had my 2B do a glove flip instead of trying to transfer it to his hand and throw it. I never saw that on button accuracy.

The guy bunted it close down the 1st base line where the 2B couldn't really get to and the pitcher was too slow every single time

I know this is a very old thread, but I just played a guy where he played normally until losing in the 9th inning, the bunt, bunt, bunt, bunt, bunt, win.
Next time I play a guy like this I am simply going to bean every player until I run out of pitchers. I will still end up with the same result.
SDS REWARDS CHEATERS.

And sure enough the very next game first batter bunt. Second bunt, third bunt. Putting in bunt defense does nothing and SDS continues to turn a blind eye to it. So I simply beaned every batter like I promised until they simply called the game off. At least I got to vent some of my frustration on these cheating wimps.

It’s not cheating. It’s frowned upon but not cheating. Is it cheating to not throw strikes knowing your opponent will swing at everything? No. I’m not saying I wouldn’t be losses but it’s not cheating

I understand the point you are making, but if someone throws me garbage pitches I can stop swinging at them and improve my chances to possibly win. With the bunt cheese, you can use every weapon in the arsenal and it literally does nothing to improve your chances. I wish SDS would actually cared about online game play.
There should be a way to report the bunt cheesers and after they review the cheesers game log and clearly see every batter bunting they get put into a division with nothing but bunt cheesers and they can bunt all day long and let real players play online.
I have played online and gotten beaten up real bad and rarely quit, but at least that is a legit loss. Not fixing what is clearly a glitch that effects gameplay and will never do anything about it is totally unacceptable to me.
FYI the very next game I played I got a guy that played fair, but I was clearly going to win, so he beaned the bases loaded and then quit. FYI if that guy is reading this, I am totally not mad about it. I went on tilt earlier today. I understand your frustration.
Also lost what will be my final game of the day in what was actually a real great game. I made a mistake in the first for a homer and lost 1-0 despite allowing only 2 hits. That is what I call real online play, not that wimpy cheesing, and honestly cheating way to play.
