Pitcher defense unrealistic... ?

I always laugh at pitchers defense and reaction time in the show... even if you knock it off their skull they will most likely still get you out and all seemingly have cat like reflexes and snag anything up the middle...
BUT.... is some of it just to counter bunt cheesing? if so I guess I can understand some of it... if not then I got no excuses lol

It was more realistic in last year's game, but it seems this year they reverted back to the ol' pitcher wall
