How does SDS come up with new cards? I would assume they need legal permission from the player or someone representing the player?
With no baseball right now there are so many good cards they could create. For example a Post Season Eovaldi. 99 MPH cutter with outlier perk (would be OP).
Just a thought. More interested in how the process works.

Current MLB players are free game they can create cards for them in a number of differnt ways.
Legends require rights to be acquired and likely in some way agreed how they will be used in game. This can happen 1 of 2 ways I believe either through the Hall of Fame or throught the players rights holder ie family.
