MTO rollover question

If I’m at 64 stars in the first portion
And I start a new MTO. Will the points roll over?

For example. At the all star break
I should get 6/7 point. Will the rest go towards part 2?

It seems to have rolled over for me.

Yes. Missions do rollover, but anything that wasn't finished in stage 1 will be lost.
