Winning run is on second base with 3 outs remaining. I had a pitcher with 96 bunting, so I figured I'd sub him in and bunt my winning run over to third base. Then I'd just need a flyball to knock this thing out.

Pitcher had no confidence, and threw a 4 seem right down the heart of the plate. Needless to say, my pitcher with 96 bunting popped it right up for the catcher. Now I'm starting to sweat a bit, but I've got big stick Nick up facing a lefty with no confidence at Coors. I hit a liner to right centerfield, and common defender Blackmon made the diving play of the year (because of course he did).

Needless to say, the Showdown was over before my last batter stepped up to the plate. I usually win these showdowns, but sometimes they're just out to get you.

It always seems when the pressure is on the CPU comes up clutch. I for one don’t mind showdowns and if it wasn’t for showdown I most likely wouldn’t have the team I have. The rewards are great and winning knocks off big chunks of affinity points.

I find I go on streaks against bosses. I’ll hit back to back HR’s then all of a sudden I hit a single and I feel the tide turning. Next batter I’m telling myself don’t swing at a low pitch or get on top of the ball. Then bam double play.

Yeah, just had one myself. I actually don't hate showdown, its just frustrating that I can't finish them. If I need 6 runs I can only score 4, if I need 14 I score 13.

i still really enjoy Showdown - you get good stuff along the way too if you play it through

i also enjoy MTO to a lesser extent....

conquest is absolutely horrible i just cannot get into this stupid mode and im the freak who got that 99 Joe Mauer card in 2017 by doing the full america map FIVE TIMES

it's a net gain on the end, I almost never lose stubs unless its a freak occurrence, its just frustrating to never get tge victory in the end. Also, I think I actually find the stage 1 showdown easier, whatever the settings that have pitching at, on veteran here they never throw things down the middle, but they don't throw enough balls to tire them out. I think I'd rather play the final showdiwn on all star.

The one thing I know about Showdown and Moments, You keep trying you will eventually complete them. They can differently be frustrating. I do not play showdown that much. I do The innings ones and that is it. I think I will start trying the other ones MTO takes to long.

just keep at it mate, patience is a virtue, don't skip any of the pre-missions before the final, get that run count up , use your best cards always - make sure to have a great SP 1 great RP (silver is cool enough I find), and also big hitters - hope this helps you !!!!
