How to steal one runner.

How do you just steal one runner? I have runners on 1st and 3rd with one out, and want to eliminate the double play. I do what it says to steal the runner at 1st, and the runner at 3rd goes home! Is there a way to fix this?

Hold your left analogue stick in the direction of first base then press the steal button.

Make sure you dont release the stick from first base if using L2+stick. I've had that happen when doing it quickly and both runners steal. So I methodically hold the stick to first with L2, then release L2 before moving the stick back to center.

If you're using the Press L2 method, Hold O then press L2 to steal with only the first base runner. (To clarify - Press L2 while holding O, maybe that makes more sense) If both runners still steal, you let go of O to soon
