How do you steal?

My player keeps stopping half way to 2nd base

This has been happening to be ALOT lately!!!

With Vidal brujan who has 95 speed and 97 steal, along with trout and gwynn

It happened twice he gets half way and stopped... I thought oh maybe it was me the first time nope he did it again

I try not to. In todays world, every store has security cameras and loss prevention employees in plain clothes. Crime never pays.

Isn't the "stopping" just the Catcher meter being utilized?

In a RS game two nights ago I had an opposing player stop half-way to 2nd as my catcher was throwing him out. The ball arrived to 2nd and there was nobody there to tag out. I was so dumbfounded, I ended up mashing a button and threw it to 3rd. then the guy finished his steal to 2nd. I actually thought my opponent just outsmarted me. Maybe he just got lucky by a glitch.

This is always what I've thought. But if the game is laggy you're not going to get many good jumps, and the pitch speeds are elevated which I think makes it tougher.

I just tried a double steal and both guys stopped halfway

are you swinging at the pitch when they stop, could be you hitting the right trigger. i do that alot

I think it’s the right trigger because in other features u have to hit the right trigger... so when they get set it’s just L2 correct?

Try to not press right trigger "R2" to delay his slide step. If that's it, then it may have to do with the timing of you pressing it or something. If that's not it, then I don't know.
