Hey SDS, if you're gonna completely ignore user input and force a pitch, how about forcing the pitch on the corner for a strike instead of dead center over the middle of the plate.

It may seem subtle and not much of an improvement, but at least, there will be less of a chance for them to take it out of the park by center swinging....Geezus.

If they don’t fix pitching then it’s obvious the game is designed to help players hit by giving them easy pitches regardless of what the player pitching does. Time will tell.

I threw a pitch today with Amir Garrett. It was aimed on the outer third of the plate (vs a righty) and slightly below the zone. My timing was slightly late and my analog was ever so slightly off to the right. You would think that would mean, if anything, the pitch would miss further out of the zone. Instead, it hung in the zone high enough to be crushed for a no doubt, early/good home run. Hitting and fielding are awful, but pitching takes the cake imo

Question to those who say pitching is broken, are you talking online or offline?

From what I see the problem with pitching is entirely based on poor online quality. Lag is so sporadically bad, that when you miss your spot you end up throwing pitches right down the middle, something I never see offline, but I also don't have a problem hitting the meter offline.

Its both for me. I have had plenty of instances where I had a perfect release, only for the ball to hang on me or sometimes go nowhere near where I aimed it. I don't think its a lag thing, its SDS intentionally removing user input from the game in favor of RNG

Online. No need for the game to serve meatballs to the computer guys so they can hit HR’s and feel proud of themselves and keep playing and buying stubs. Pitching is the #1 reason why I quit online early this year.

I agree entirely that pitching online is a big turnoff, served up a couple today and my opponent did not miss. But I dont see it offline at all. But I have no problems hitting my spots offline like I do online.

I fully believe the problems with this game are entirely online issues, the game plays terrible online and to me it just feels like it's a connection issue.

I've lost multiple games because of this, and most recently my last game played. So frustrating when you're in a competitive game playing a good opponent, and then a forced pitch down the middle gets jacked is so gut wrenching.

Curious why this is such a problem in the game, but even more so, why nothing will be done about it?
