Have the developers ever played baseball?

Shut up donald.

I’ve touched on this in many posts. Not only do I not believe SDS play real baseball, I don’t believe they play MLB the Show on any more in depth basis than a casual friendly game with their friends from time to time on veteran hitting settings. That’s the only explanation for the gameplay. I wouldn’t want my name on the credits, personally.

They make a functional game that makes money. That is all that matters, If you truly want change there would need to be a huge dip in playing and stub purchasing, mainly stub purchasing. People complain about gameplay constantly but they continue to spend money and fund it.

The answer is no.

I've asked this for years. I'd like to sit down with them and teach them

Depends on where the ball is actually, it seems to me the timing windows are obviously effected by the location of a pitch. Just early on an inside pitch is not the same as just early on an outside pitch. So on an inside pitch, being early is good, so therefore being just early on an inside pitch in reality means you were very early, therefore sending the ball foul. I've been tracking a lot of stats across game modes and while there are definitely some issues the game is nowhere near as broken as people claim. Most of the people I see complain tend to think they are better than they really are.

Just imagine how bad gameplay would be if we ALL went the NMS route? Those dudes would starve.

They take a lot of advice from their streamers who have. Probably the issue. Taking advice from people who don’t know the coding capability and trying to implement it.
The early okays are definitely the game deciders though.

you can. get everyone to stop buying stubs and you will see a magical overnight fix. don't mess with their profits. that's the mantra. why do you think we are 2 months deep and fielding is busted but xp glitches are patched in nanoseconds? they dont care. wake up.
-
The answer is no, and there is a tell in the game that shows they not only never played baseball, but they never watch it either. The tell is line drives to the first baseman where he then tags the runner out for a dp. In baseball this happens maybe once or twice a year, because the 1b doesn’t play on the same plane as the runner (even when holding a runner on, the 1b backs way off as the pitcher throws home). Anyone who watches baseball knows this almost never happens and yet in the show it probably happens once a game.

I said that a month ago. Stop spending stubs and they will fix it immediately -

Yes they spend money on it. Meaning they can say WHATEVER they want about it. Stop talking nonsense as if SDS need defending.
