Offline vs online hitting

I just played an online game on HOF and was too late on everything and then I just hopped into practice and same difficulty but I was actually early and one time. Can anyone explain this, do I have shitty WiFi or some kind of delay or something. Also I feel like I was seeing the ball more smoothly offline while online everything feels so fast. Help please, trying to make it to WS

offline speeds and online are different. Offline HOF does not = Online HOF. To get a more accurate offline speed, turn your sliders all the way up, it will more closely resemble online speeds.

This is one of the inherent issues with the game. Pitch speeds should not differ based on what mode you play. All star should be all star and Hof should be Hof regardless of the modes. There’s so much switching around of pitch speeds in moments, RS, Showdowns, etc, not to mention the wonky timing windows. It’s bizarre they would choose this path. Just no consistency to speak of.
