Just played a game in 17...
-
I was bored and decided to hop on 17 to see if anyone was playing ranked. Haven't really played that game in forever. That was a mistake.
15 inning game. I struck out my opponent 36 times. 36. I struck out 5 times, and one was with my pitcher. He had a submarine type CAP pitcher in for the first 11 innings. Every good timing power or normal swing for 14 innings went no where and resulted in a fly out. 99 Beltran, Griffey Jr, Brett, Harper and company couldn't do anything for 15 innings on pitches right down the middle.
Unbelievable. I often think about how the hitting used to be better, but maybe it's just rose tinted glasses because what I just experienced was an abomination.

Me and @ComebackLogic played a few games of 17 a week or two ago and we both absolutely loved it. We both raked and pitched well too. Definitely a different experience from what you're describing here, which all the more proves that everything is subjective.

Yeah I was gonna say that, lol. There’s just no way. Exit velos were through the roof in ‘17 compared to now. That said, the buckshot PCI feedback was really basic and you had no idea how accurate your PCI placement really was compared to now. I like the progress we’ve made in some areas of the game, but the increased RNG drives me nuts.
