Collections (not) counting towards Team Affinities

I wasn’t affected by this, but I think it should’ve been a part of stage 2 as well, especially since they kept the same exchange mission and MTO. Doesn’t make sense.

It was clear to me from the start that the collections would only count towards stage 1. If one of the teams isn't up to 70 points yet, you can still do the collections and it will count towards the first 70 points. If you however are already at 70 points and have NOT completed the collections in stage 1 yet, then it will not count in stage 2 anymore. This works as intended so I don't really see what's the problem here. Seems like you misunderstood the concept.

Hey at least you didn’t get dupe no sell guys you already have from the pack for doing the collection first. It’s a give and take.

It’s not a case of intention or a misunderstanding of the concept. As someone who doesn’t spend money and grinds the game, I would appreciate if when I get the stubs to complete a collection, that I can get those 10 team affinity points, regardless of what stage I’m in. For example, I already am on stage 2 with the angels and just was able to acquire Mike Trout. Now, if i were to complete the collection, I get nothing towards team affinity. Most people, unless they spend money on stubs or get lucky enough to pack him would not be able to complete the angels collection in stage 1, simply allowing the collection points to be redeemable at any stage would greatly benefit players that grind for these collections.

Hey look man, I hear what you're saying but at the same time I disagree. I haven't spent money on stubs in years and I always have millions. This is basically the only game where you don't have to use real currency to obtain cards. You can either get really good at the game and make your fortune in BR or you can get really good at working the market and flip cards for a few weeks to make your fortune. Both require time and effort but that's it. This "issue" is really not that much of an issue in my opinion, I'd wish they focus on the things that actually matter like gameplay and broken mechanics and the such.

I agree that their focus should be on fixing gameplay and mechanics, but I don’t see how anything else you said was relevant to the topic. Regardless, the solution to my “issue” is not a difficult one to implement into the game.

It is relevant because you're complaining about something that works as intended. Just do some showdowns instead and carry on.

Yeah, I agree with the OP. Seems like a weird flex to talk about how many stubs you have, blah blah blah. He is stating that he shouldn't be on a time crunch to finish collections.
I agree with him, it's a bad set up, and I had the collections done before the first TA was done (See how one can throw in a weird flex without being super obvious about it)
-
maybe they should list the missions for the upcoming TA, that would be a huge help to eliminate what to do/not do.

The thing is that you can still do the collections if you haven't pushed a team into the second stage yet. And it's only 10 points, you get double the amount in a single showdown run which is super easy now in this second stage. And if you did do the collections early, chances are you already got that +10 in the first stage. Not a big deal at all imo, but hey you can always do the rival exchanges if you really don't wanna grind the showdowns.
Edit:
Just to clarify, I have all the TA stage 1 programs to 70 points and I hardly did any collections yet, so I'm in the same boat as OP. And yet, I really don't care about those 10 measly points. -
I got collection points for stage 2. I had 68 with the Padres, locked them in and had 8/50 for stage 2.

seems like if you are not at 70 but get points to push over 70 those go towards Stage 2. I had a couple teams in the high 60's did exchanges to get over 70 and anything over 70 went to Stage 2.
