I don't hate either FS or Prospect players. I hate that they are so much more expensive than (better in real life) live players that will be used much less now.
I also hate that they are the Stage 2 TA award and that we weren't made aware of that sooner.

i like it.. only thing i dont like is the fact that they released prospects and now one month in they release a similar promo.. if they would've released the FS promo in 2 month or so it wouldn't get that negative feedback imo

There’s pros and cons to it, I suppose.

The good: We get an influx of useable new cards, no team is excluded, there’s new content to work on, line up variety is increased and draft rosters for BR/Showdown are expanded.

The bad: A lot of these players don’t deserve the ratings attached to the card, nor will they even at their peak. Nobody is particularly anticipating the chance to use players they’ve never heard of and would prefer higher rated cards of players they’ve actually heard of.

The ugly: Reissuing cards from a few weeks ago with higher ratings, basically inventing cards from thin air, prospects being rated higher than Trout, Bellinger and so on. I dunno.

My thoughts. Its April. They have all these players rights, they want to do these cards, so they are doing them now, in April. Next month will come FBs and Legends that are better. And no one will care about these cards. You got to have long game views on this. It will give lineup diversity.

I'm usually a supporter of SDS, and give them the benefit of the doubt most of the time. But I completely agree.

This is a brutal misstep. 90% of these guys aren't even top prospects. Some not even on their own teams. To have ratings higher than legends or top LS players is ridiculous. Add in the fact, like you said, even the biggest baseball fan won't know most of these non top prospects is a slap in the face. Then, on top of that, it's redundant with prospect cards. You have duplicates of some players which tells me it was poorly planned and messy.

To top it all off, the best prospects like Wander Franco is a 91 and so expensive. He's now rendered useless.. and I assume we will get his FS card which will make that collection even more useless?
Guys like Bo Bichette still have nothing but a terrible 75 card, when Kevin Smith (the Jays 24th rated prospect) has a 90..

    Total mess

Are you the guy waiting for the 13th Cal Ripken and Ken Griffey to be released a month in? Enjoy the different content.

Hard working people literally spent hours working on that card art during the apocalypse and you complain about stats and records? How about some gratitude?

I know you are being sarcastic but the card art is awesome to be fair

Ah yes, different content. Hopefully we get a Cap'n Crunch 91 rated catcher card. He would be hard to pitch to as well, with his height and all. As long as it's completely made up new cards, that's all that matters.

I was against it all the way up to today. You know what, if this is what it takes to bury the 1million matchups of kluber/Oswalt/Ohtani then I'm with it. Ppl complained about variety so might as well release these CAPS or prospects or whatever you wanna call them.

This is the kind of out of the box thinking this game stimulates, bravo!

He should probably have a quirk that keeps him fairly hard during rainy games as well.

Aw, come on man. As a Jays fan, you’re clearly biased. Who tf is Kevin anyway?

If you don't like them.... don't use them!

Personally, I love these much more than the old timey cards because I'm a huge prospect nerd. Who cares??

It is a fantasy card mode and these are fantasy cards... go play franchise if you want a more realistic experience

I know who Kevin Smith is very well. And I wish I didn't. I'd even take a Alejandro Kirk over this. Stubby little fat catcher

Imagine if they get the best stage 4 reward by way of compensation though. That should keep you going until fall.
