Advice on AL West Showdown run
-
I've made it to the Ohtani Boss Mission with the score 8-15. So I need 8 runs. I think 7 is the most I've ever scored agains Verlander. However, that was with more RH bats than LH bats.
My current lineup is as follows:
LS Dee Gordon
LS Danny Santana
LS Yordan Alvarez
LS Justin Upton
FOTF Ohtani
LS Shin-Soo Choo
LS Tommy La Stella
LS Kyle See her
LS Kiner-Falefa (Common catcher. Can probably sub in one of my bench: All righties though. LS Mateo, LS Semien, LS Simmons, LS Andrus, and LS Ponder)That's 6 ladies, 1 switch, and 2 righties.
Would you jump into Verlander, down 8 with this lineup? Or would you risk it and try to play out to get more players/runs?
I can say the ONE time I beat Ohtani, I lost to the next 3 bosses. And the ONLY reason I played is because I messed up in earlier matchups and only had 5 or 6 runs.
If it helps, my perks are the Silver AND Gold Heart Attacks: Contact Boost while Losing and the Bronze Defribillator which gives contact boost on 0-0, 1-1, and 2-2 counts.

6 ladies sounds like more than enough lol.
Personally I would skip Ohtani. But it depends on how good a player you are if you can beat Verlander down 15-8.
6 ladies? [censored]. I wish I had that much stamina!

I think the better question is how much pitching did you draft that your team still looks like that

You have a pretty solid lineup but personally I would probably try to beat Ohtani. I got all the AL West affinities to 70 through showdown and I only played Ohtani when I didn’t have Olson, Gallo, Trout, or Cahna. Those 4 make Verlander really easy IMO

I would jump right into Verlander unless you have no trouble vs Ohtani. I find Verlander is much easier
Take it this way, you think it’ll be easier to get 4runs with 10 outs vs Ohtani or 8 runs in 20 outs vs Verlander?

you need willie calhoun

Funny enough, he seems to hit bombs off Verlander.

Canha has one of the best no doubt HR animations in the game.
