What Happened To Quicker Fielder Response Times?

The throw time animations are ludicrous right now -- and I thought this was something that was fixed for this year's edition. Someone had Elly De La Cruz on second taking off with the pitch. The hitter grounded to my shortstop. I first threw to third, thinking I had a shot at getting him there but he kept running for home. I had the third basemen throw home -- or at least I thought I did. Instead, he seemed to look at the sky, take in the stadium, think about life and lost loves, and then finally threw the [censored] ball to home plate about a minute after De La Cruz crossed it. It's absurd!
