Yeah, i kinda dug that grind. There were a couple here and there that were annoying but it was no worse than "Moments" and at least you get credit for team affinity and could work on other players at the same time.
I know we are in the minority, but you are not alone, my fellow Yankee fan.

I actually really enjoyed the team stat grinds, other than the IP ones.
Actually gave me a reason to use lower rated cards that I would never have used otherwise.
Every hit was going towards something, rather than just bunting for 9 innings like we have now.

Just pretend it says “Play vs CPU” in front of them if you want to grind stats again. It’s no different really other than instead of free stubs you get rewarded in affinity points which will get you stubs, packs, players...etc. Don’t really know what’s so different from years past

In 18, you actually wanted to get hits, homeruns, strikeouts, etc., and that meant every single one was going towards a goal.
Now, we have one tiny mission, and after that you’re better off just bunting for 9 innings instead of actually playing.
I’ve gotten used to it after last year, but it’s still something that I think should be in the game.

I try to fill my lineup with a few different players from different team missions. That way if I finish one I still have others to work on and I don’t have to bunt or sleep through the rest of the game. Also load your bench with the next mission you wanna work on that way if you get the stats you were going for in the second inning you can sub out those players with new ones.

That's the kind of stuff I used to do in MLB 18. 'Oh, I need hits from the Cardinals, I need saves from the Rangers, I need HR's from the Mariners...'
-
200 IP was way too much, the others weren't bad until you ran into the tigers needing hrs and most guys under 70 pwr, or a team that needed steals and triples and the fastest guy was a 65 spd.
but to answer the question, I liked them then and don't miss them now, and don't want them back, small versions ok - nothing over 30 though -
I agree that IP was a bit too much because the max you could get per game was 9 IP. But I enjoyed looking for an older player that had the attributes I needed to get the job done. In the case of HR's I just put say the best 3 or 4 power hitters in the lineup and I'd get the 15 Hr's needed after a few games. I just let it be. Doubles were obviously the worst though!

Hell no I do not miss that

I miss the career stats missions from '17
