Online connected franchise

I know it is highly unlikely but I would love to have online connected franchise. Pls upvote this for the devs to see this!

Except many folks who play Franchise do so because it is an offline mode. You may not appreciate this, but there is a large segment of customers who want nothing to do with online gaming. The concern we have is that if SDS were to do this, then they would be swamped by the chronic complaints issued by online gamers who think they should always win, and as such cave and start imposing operating limitations designed to appease them, but that degrade the offline experience.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL I get what you’re saying, and that’s why I think the best solution is to have two separate Franchise modes, similar to how NBA 2K does it. Their online Franchise is basically just trading, games, and free agency — pretty bare bones — while the offline version keeps all the depth and freedom. That way people who want a connected experience get it, and the offline community doesn’t lose anything. I wish SDS would take that same approach

I wouldn't have a beef with that and in an ideal world, I would openly support it. But, again, we have to couch our desires with a healthy dose of self-awareness of what SDS is doing, or perhaps more accurately not doing.
There are game modes that have existed in this title for over five years that have languished with zero attention to detail in terms of actual upgrades. Given this, I think we need to focus acute attention of those deliberately neglected game modes. Also, the community that plays online modes needs to stop acting like they represent the entire customer base. Folks, you do not.
That's not a slight. It's simply a statement of objective fact. Overall point being, until SDS upgrades what has been in the game, I don't want to see them introduce new modes to the game, especially online modes. Because online modes have received a vastly disproportionate share of support.

Came to the forums to say online franchise is a massive need! If there are issues integrating it, do what madden did and add an option to make an online or an offline franchise. To the argument about making money, add some franchise mode preorder bonused similar to CFB. Online franchise would cause me and my group of friends to buy the game. Also, add co-op exhibition vs CPU.

Bring Back Online Connected Franchise – It’s Time to Give MLB The Show Back to True Franchise Players
I’m going to say what a lot of us have been thinking for years now:
Online Connected Franchise was the funnest part of MLB The Show — and removing it was a huge mistake.
That mode wasn’t just something to pass time. It was the heart of competitive baseball gaming for so many of us. It allowed us to:
Run multiple seasons
Do full drafts
Develop and build our players’ ratings
Make real trades with real strategy
Build rivalries
Create long-term storylines
Actually feel invested in our teams
It wasn’t just “play a game and move on.” It was a true baseball experience.
The current online league setup just doesn’t compare. You can’t go multiple seasons properly. You can’t draft and build your farm system the way franchise baseball is meant to be played. You can’t truly develop players and watch them grow into stars. There’s no long-term progression. No dynasty building. No real depth.
It feels watered down and shallow.
For those of us who grew up grinding connected franchise seasons with friends, rebuilding teams from the ground up, managing payroll, scouting prospects, and competing year after year — that was MLB The Show at its best.
I won’t sugarcoat it: I will not buy another copy of MLB The Show until Online Connected Franchise returns. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Diamond Dynasty is great for some players. Quick online modes are fine. But there is a huge community of true baseball gamers who want strategy, realism, progression, and long-term competition.
