I find this year the whole game just feels off like the pictures don't have the same sort of slap of the glove they had last year the ball off the bat doesn't seem quite as good in and I'm not even talking about online mode I'm talking about franchise mode here just everything that this game this year just seems off and I don't like it analog hitting is just dreadful this year your guys like basically may still be swinging a wet noodle I hate using button hitting it's so boring but it's the only thing that really works this year I don't know what they've done to this game but man I'm almost tempted to go back and play last year's game

Try GOAT pitching difficulty, this is why they added it. It makes pitching far more difficult and you can still strike guys out. The foul balls can get a little ridiculous and the CPU doesn’t walk enough, but I’m in the bottom half in the league in ERA, which I love because I’ve led the league in the stat every year for as long as I can remember, until now.

I had this problem last year but I looked up realistic sliders and things changed. I still beat the computer but it's not as easy. The computer is hitting pitches they used to miss. Look it up

First off, why is everyone I hit, CPU hits it’s ALWAYS A FOUL BALL 9/10 it’s a foul and it’s kinda annoying. Second, when managing my roster for Franchise, CPU ALWAYS HAS TO CHANGE IT so they add, remove players so you can’t even manage your team it’s annoying asl. Overall it’s OK I got mine for $44 DONT buy it FOR 70.

I swear something is off with the cpu offence since a few patches ago. They just can’t hit at all. I’m using GOAT pitching difficulty and easily shut them down without much trouble which wasn’t the case a few months ago. @SDS_JoeK_PSN can you please check if GOAT pitching difficulty vs the CPU is broken ? It feels like the difficulty is set to GOAT but it’s not actually using GOAT! There’s probably some bug that has been introduced

I use manage mode which is CPU vs CPU and lack of runs is an issue and has been since they introduced balls hit down the line curving foul several years ago. That took a lot of offense out of the game because those plate appearances change from a hit down the line into an out.
That was done on a request from the "community". I just realize that's how the game is programmed and adjust my roster according. Lots of speed in the lineup and small ball.

it’s a shame as I really wanted to play a ton more over the winter but I can’t now with Goat pitching broken. Please verify that it can be fixed again! -

The thing is that GOAT difficulty was actually awesome a few months back. I had a franchise going where my team ERA was almost 5! Now I’m at 2 consistently. The CPU no longer punish mistake pitches and lost their ability to hit home runs. My assumption is there is a bug that GOAT pitching difficultly isn’t actually working as intended

It's always been that way for me since they introduced balls curving foul. SXThomas35 had it right. The problem is the developers didn't add offense elsewhere to compensate for the hits they removed from the game by having those balls curve foul. I just accept that's how it is and plan accordingly.
