TA Grind is boring & brutal

I have the finest voucher in every team but the White Sox, which I’m only 3 HRS short. So I have ZERO reason to grind the cards after I get it. I tried explaining this issue in another post but nobody understood. They should have rewards between finest voucher and #1 fan icon.

@NWOStunna_PSN hopefully they will add more shorty. But probably not lol

They have brutally messed up TA this year. Here are 30 mini programs to complete but no game mode to complete them on. The rewards are all the same. 50 points to get the card and once you have it, no reason to use it. The neon mission in the my journey just gets you to the Finest voucher which we know will render the final TA useless.
When they did this by division and had a long program path with varied rewards and missions and a conquest map for each division, that was perfect. You got henchmen to help you along and you could plug in the bosses to help you finish the program giving you a good reason to use them. Why mess with a good thing.
2019 had team affinity by team and even included a conquest map PER TEAM in the final “finest” set of missions/programs.

Game needs an online and offline Team Building mode. Can't grind on Battle Royale, and Events still feel a bit pointless. Problem is that SDS doesn't want a mode to compete with Ranked - they want all their eggs in the Ranked basket

I finally threw in the towel on grinding this year. I had finished grinding all the Finest vouchers and thought I was done then they drop yet another TA big grind. I started to grind and just couldn’t even finish a game. I’ve just grinded too much and I’ve burnt myself out. I’m just going to roll with my current god squad and not worry about the grind. The only card I’m waiting on is a 99 Tony Gwynn and he won’t be a big collection reward so I’m good.
I’m totally cool with them dropping more content because there are grinders that are loving it, So good for them. I’m just burnt out personally.

Just to take this back to the first post. The problem itself isnt the relatively small Neon grind.
Its the lack of content for it.
For the online players, Events need to be rewarding. A salary cap mode would help as well. Neon is not even a grind if you regularly swap out players, but so many people would never dream of trying out new cards when Beltran could get at bat number 3,152 instead.
For the offline players something needs to be mixed up, and DQ wasn't it (moments and showdowns...the former is fine in small doses but why did they pick the least popular aspects of the game and design a new mode around them?)
And please go back to varying modes helping out programs. Conquest map completion is done too rarely this year. We don't even see optional online missions anymore, what was wrong with those?
Why cant there be a Neon mini season that provides some progress?
And yes let people do exchanges as well. Its people using stubs which SDS should like....

There are so many game design flaws in this year’s game. It really speaks to a lack of a clear long term plan. TA is an example. You need to get 25% done to get the finest voucher, then a whole lot of nothing. I’m a pirates fan and always look forward to completing their TA. I’m nowhere close at the moment and the wasteland from Finest to #1 icon is abysmal.
The power creep is another. I like the power creep in theory, but not in this execution. We went way too fast from 96-97s all the way to 99s. It is okay not to have rosters full of 99s in late July.It just seems like SDS really half-a$$ed any plan they may have had going into the season.
My theory is the money wasn’t coming in early in the game cycle and they got marching orders to maximize profits. That led to more and more 99s as chase cards and when that dam broke the slope was wet and slippery to the mess we are now in.
Just my opinion.

I feel 95s are a good sweet spot between more realistic but less offense and the stupid cards that shouldnt exist until December and would love to see that be where the game spends the most time at. Most of the legend roster should have a 94-96 range card
I think part of the reason for the power creep being thrown out the window is that people were complaining about their inputs not being rewarded with their non 125 power cards, and then all star game is where 99s have historically shown up in the past so time to accelerate things
And they didnt just do 99s. they did a 120 contact Kyle Schwarber. What next, 97 speed David Ortiz? Its probably coming.

I can’t disagree with a word you typed.
