Positive aspects of MLB The Show 25

@Teak2112_MLBTS If a RF card comes along that puts Dave Parker on the bench it will be the best card ever created in the history of the game. The Cobra smashes for me and as a diamond defender he's probably 2nd behind Beltran for team MVP. LOVE HIM.

Better than 99 Bautista?

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN I don't have 99 Bautista so I would not know.

Overall they’ve had great content and you can a hand variety of diverse lineups, the collection heavy model needs an adjustment going forward, but there so many good cards to use, it’s hard to pick
-
"This is [censored]! It's a table of [censored]!" Legendary, but also perfectly orates the description of this game.

The content and alot of these things you mentioned are very good. But mean very little compared to game play and removing events. Ill take excellent game play and better servers over content and im sure you would all agree. If you choose to be fooled into thinking the game is great because of the content. Go for it.

@Ditka06_MLBTS he isn’t. And most of us are t. But you have to find a silver lining. The problem is they hit a homer (pun intended) in 21 and got greedy. Instead of focusing on game play and making it better they tweaked (and failed a lot) the model they had. Let’s take pinpoint for example. 21 and 22 it was almost flawless. Why change it? In 25 it’s brutal. They ignored the game engine and making changes that take time yes but will improve the game. To the point today it’s nearly impossible. The only good thing is the content. Minus the ridiculous collections model which is just sets and seasons without the sets and seasons. The only players they listen too are the 1%. Overall I give the 21 and 22 A. 23/24 C and 25 B-

And there are thousands of threads on those topics.
The problem is, SDS has a history of throwing out what is good (2023's quantity of cards and rewards in programs for example) while correcting something else (programs being too grindy for a lot of people with a final card not worth the grind to them). So for some thats an improvement, for others (like me) it makes me want to turn the game off every time I see an empty program. They didn't have to take away one to do the other, but SDS is the king of throwing babies out with the bathwater.
So its important to be positive about the good things too. Think of the babies.

Content has been pretty good imo.

A B- seems fair but 2023 was better in virtually every way than 2024, which I struggle to give higher than a D to. It even did the one really bad thing about 2023, expiring cards, far worse. That time when all we had was OoP cards alone knocks it down a grade. Also had one of the weaker new legends classes (imo)
I still think 2023 is superior to 2025, even with the expiring cards, because it was so content rich and played better, and had the events/BR rewards people are missing. And with the cards expiring every other season they were always good for a good length of time.
