Would be nice to be able to set lineup once you know who SP is before game starts? just figured it was worth asking in case i'm completely missing how to do it.

Not anymore; used to, but people would back out of games if a LH was pitching. It’s good in theory, but not in reality.

They could at least allow you to sub your bench in before the game starts without burning the them for the whole game

It's odd, because when you play the CPU, at least in Conquest, they clearly have a lineup, or at least batting order, set for LHP and one for RHP, but we can't do similar, and just set two lineups to automatically be chosen from.

@betamax0_NSW People have been asking for this for years and they haven't been able to implement it. It will be a new feature next year or the year after when it should have been in years ago

@datneegdaz_PSN it’s not a new feature; it’s an old feature they removed years ago because people would back out every time they saw Randy Johnson. Also if you have alternates R/L lineups, it defeats the purpose of competitive play, because the hitters are always at advantage. Yes in real life teams can mix and match, but they’re not magical fantasy lineups where peak Ted Williams can share the field with peak Griffey and Pujols.

@yankblan_PSN The old feature was that you could see the lineups before the game and back out once you saw the pitcher and not get it counted as a loss. What this guy was asking for was a pre-set lineup against LHP and RHP so you didn't have to blow through your bench to optimize your lineup. The only way to do this now is have an all switch-hitting team.

They have it (I think) in Franchise mode, why can't they have it in DD?

Or maybe have the opportunity to change your starting lineup once the game loads but before first pitch is thrown. That way if you quit, it's counted as a loss like normal.

@datneegdaz_PSN re-read what I said: it’s cool for normal lineups, but not for an all Legends/Superstars one. If people complain about being unable to pitch, that would be worse. All SH lineup is a good solution.
