Why is it that not only are the online issues (i.e. fielding, hitting) translating to showdown but also the CPU plays like they are all 95 overall. It’s on veteran difficulty for a lot of the missions but they play out of their minds. I don’t understand why when I rope an absolute [censored] missile 110mph to right center Ramón Laureano looking like Jim Edmonds completely laid out it’s ridiculous.

I really enjoy the mode and have been learning the ins and outs.
Last night I beat the NL East went into the final boss needing 9 runs. Tied the game using only 1 out last run took me 3 outs to get but I was not being patient.
I made Degrome throw alot of pitches and allowed him to walk guys. This is the key as well looking on spot only chasing the ball with the PCI is asking for trouble

No lie!!!! Every time I win a showdown I end up with the opposing pitcher over 120 pitches. Over 80 and they start hanging sliders, over 100 and it’s either way off the plate or right down the middle. Another tip....if you get lucky number 7 perk take it!!! Seventh pitch is a change up right down the middle. I have a 75 percent homerun ratio with decent batters.

Showdown is really pissing me off lately, and I have about 12 or 13 fotf players. I watch a youtuber do their draft and skip right to the final boss. The pitcher throws nothing but balls or meat and they finish with about 15 outs left. Easy peazy. So now I do the first few missions to get some runs early just in case. Get between 4-6 runs then skip right to the final boss. [censored] dude paints the corners time and time again. Everything and anything I actually put good pci placement on goes directly to the fielder or they make some insane play. There have also been quite a few times lately where I can't even get past the first mini boss because of the exact same BS and that is supposed to be on veteran. My [censored] it is.

So true. I've seen more miracle plays made in showdown than any other game mode. Like every player on the field is Derek Jeter all the sudden. And if that's not enough my runners decide to do whatever they feel like doing to help out. Runners stealing with no command. Not running on flyball that is obviously going to drop. And getting back to a bag takes forever.
