First time investor questions
-
So, with flipping cards not being so easy (yet) this season, I decided to try my hand at “investing” to earn extra stubs. I followed the advice from a poster here (shoutout to @LHUBison58_XBL - Thanks!!!) and bought a couple of cards from the three players they mentioned just to see how it worked. Two of the three went diamond (again thanks!). Cashed out, made a few extra stubs. Question, what to do with the one that didn’t go diamond (Suzuki). Do I hold and hope he goes next update? Cash out and take the loss? Finally, I “casually” follow real life MLB. What research do you use to see who MAY get an update next time? How do you determine? ( I realize I may be asking for secrets with this question). Thanks in advance for any hints/tips you may provide.

@capardo_XBL For hitters contact is directly related to AVG vs right/left. HR determine power. Clutch is AVG with RISP. Vision is BB%. For pitchers it’s pretty straightforward, H/9, K/9 and BB/9. Pitching clutch is AVG against with RISP.

@PAinPA_PSN That’s right. And BB% is discipline.

I’m sitting on 389 Seiya Suzukis. He got robbed with this past update. I’d sit on him and see what happens. Worse case scenario, you quicksell for 1500 a piece.

@capardo_XBL who did you buy and how many?

@LHUBison58_XBL I admittedly don’t have many stubs, so my investments were extremely small. I bought around 10 of each: Suzuki, pena, and Rodon. I bought them all at around 2000 stubs a piece. Like I said, I dipped my toes in very gingerly. So, I’ll take your advice and hold onto Suzuki. If you think he got robbed, I may buy a few more when his current price drops. Any other tips that you have, I’m all ears!! And thanks!!
