MLB The Show 25 Review

UPDATE: My rating for MLB 25 is 2/10. Same exact content drop each week with boring & repeat grinds. PXP, MISSION, MOMENTS. SUCKS.

Honest question: When people complain about the “repetitive” game and lack of different game modes, what are you looking for? This is a baseball game, so the main modes are going involve a team having their turn to bat until they make 3 outs, then the other team gets a turn until the 3 or 9 inning game is over. Thats what people bought, a baseball game. They sprinkle in moments and Showdown which is thoughtful, but I rarely hear solutions, just complaints.
Side note, if you don’t like Ranked, you probably got stuffed in lockers as a kid, or you’re still a kid. Competing against other people who love the same game is the core of The Show and I think it’s fantastic.
Also, when are people going to stop blaming SDS for their garbage connection and lag? I’ve certainly run into a half dozen freeze offs which is unfortunate, but there’s no lag if you’re hardwired with a good set up.

@tear4eddy_PSN I complain bc SDS has proven when they want to innovate they can. Ie bring moments into the game in 19 or showdown in 20, or DQ this year.
Is it my job to give them good ideas? No. If they want to pay me I'll give them
I hate ranked bc the experience is always horrible. Connections, poor feedback, undesired outcomes.
I dont understand why people like you want to play the same game every year and zero innovation.
You're definitely the reason why it's copy & paste.

@Weshill627_PSN so not a sports fan. Not for everyone I guess. Why watch baseball, it’s just the same teams playing 162 games plus playoffs, year after year after year after year…

@Weshill627_PSN Its funny that this is just you giving bad grades to modes you don't play or don't think should be in the game personally.
This game has had consistent content twice a week since launch and ppl still just want to complain about every little thing. No matter what SDS gives them it will never be enough.

Innovation is what keeps yearly sports titles going.
Copy & paste is what ruins them.

@trfatboy22_PSN Agreed, i dont like RS...i play mostly events and BR. 9 innings against toxic douchers and people who quit when you get 1 run...i'm good. this post is a complaint, sounds like the OP should just play a different game and move on. if you dont like it this much do something else...i would.

@LIONED-33_XBL play a different game. Is such a stupid response and I hate it. If no one said anything we would have immortals with every card in packs. You play a different game. Mlb would have a chance to be good.

@Weshill627_PSN basically you complain, people offer solutions you shoot them down and complain some more. I'm enjoying the game, i dont spend a dime, and enjoy it. When i've gotten bored or burnt out, i simply switch games. You also aren't required to hate everything SDS puts out.

@trfatboy22_PSN I mean, I've played all the modes except RTTS & a little franchise. No need to play them. They are copy & paste from the ps4 days.
Adding 8 additional games did nothing for RTTS..
No reason to waste time.

@trfatboy22_PSN I've played mini seasons, all 4 of them already. Its boring and a horrible grind lol. Just playing the same made up boring teams on rookie to get through it.
They need better ideas. Mini seasons is the same mode since 21 and Zero changes.
The modes can stay the complaint i have is they copy & paste the same thing yearly with zero changes and I'm supposed to just enjoy it lol.
That's why I hats conquest, mini seasons and the entire offline modes. Including moments, pxp, and missions grind. Its shows lack of care they do this.
I've played every mode, yes they are all copy & paste. That is my point. I dont want to play the same boring modes game after game. We need something special to be added every year.

@Weshill627_PSN So clearly you hate baseball. Stop playing then. You're also just flat out wrong because the teams aren't the same and the restrictions for each are different. Additionally if it's not challenging enough, then don't play on rookie.
There are only so many things you can do and still make it feel like baseball. Which is how it should feel in the BASEBALL game. If you don't like baseball. Try a different game bro.
