Why do ppl say Events is useless this year?
-
I'm not an online gamer and really have never played events mode unless it was to get an Egg.
I've been reading and watching a lot of videos this year that are saying Events mode in 25 is useless. That there is no point of playing it.
Can someone explain why? Why was it worth playing this mode in the past vs not playing it in 25? Also, is the same thing true about BR?

There used to be exclusive card rewards for a certain amount of wins in the event usually like a 10 win reward and a 25 win

why did they take it out? so in 25 if you play events you get zero rewards?

It's true they took away the rewards which sucks, but its still a great mode to grind out the multiplayer program.

events is the go-to when you want to play online but not commit to a long sweaty game. or to try out new cards. test the waters. br has more incentive, ( and plays cleaner) but it costs 1500 to get an entry and that's too rich for my blood at this point in the season.
both modes had programs tied to accumulated stats for rewards in the past, which are now gone.

Events in past years was sweaty because there were sellable rewards
This year its much more of a casual mode, the WS+ players mostly being out of it makes it a LOT more fun to play imo.

I like the event because it's working towards multi-player program and I don't have to really try.
I played 6 weekend classic games today and was tired from focusing so hard
Events are mindless and you're just trying to get stats or parallel guys basically

I personally greatly prefer it this way, but I understand the people who liked to sweat it out for cards. I wouldn't be upset if they rolled this back next year.
I only play online for the program rewards anyway, and last year I ignored it almost entirely once they stopped doing innings as the primary driver for ranked and I played like 3 event games all year.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I wish this was my experience. I still end up playing sweats until I lose one (aka the first game). Then I can play people actually my skill level. I wish that Events had tiers so I had a better chance of playing people in a casual bracket.

Events was my main stub source in the past. For me it sucks, I used to get to the cards relatively quick and earn 100K+ stubs, then picked the card from the rewind packs in the following event.

I like to play events during drop one and wait out the GOAT goons in ranked until drop two or 3
-
Now if they could find a way get people to stop dashboarding, I would understand the draw of a quick low pressure online mode, but I can’t get through an event game.
-
just tried to play events w/ the new program. all the guys had world series icons. had no chance in any of the games.

I was really disappointed when they got rid of the win rewards each event. But now I actually don't mind it. Feels like it has made events a lot more casual. Can just kinda chill out and knock out the multiplayer program without having to lock in too much.
