Diamond Quest Sucks

@Pergo_MLBTS It wouldn’t feel like a problem if it felt like the percentages were accurate, but we all know SD Studios “percentage chances” to get something are complete bs. And I don’t want to continuously grind this mode…I just want the two epic cards so I can move on. Again, I did the Diamond Quest 5 times, all 5 times I had a better than 50% chance to get the rewards, once with my chances at 70%, and I only got one of the two cards once. If you’re having success getting the cards, good for you. I’m not having the same success, and THAT is the problem. Two people playing the same thing and getting wildly different results because of “odds and percentages” is simply garbage.
-
As people grind this mode, the cards become cheaper all the time.
What’s that saying? What are we crying about today?
-
@Pergo_MLBTS That's not what a rogue-like is. You can like it if you want. But that doesn't stop the inherent problems with the mode.
It's just one more mode that rewards the top players more than everyone else.
-
@P0pa-Cherry_XBL so basically Conquest?
-
@chrisham8380_PSN I mean the percentages are RNG. It's literally illegal to lie about loot box percentages so they definitely don't. You have just been unlucky, which yes sucks and I agree is a problem. But lets not have a conspiracy about the percentages.

No we don't all know that the percentage chances are BS. That's just a conspiracy theory that people make up to make themselves feel better.
-
@yankblan_PSN Conquest but with perks and theme teams. By your logic Mini seasons is "basically conquest"
-
@Pergo_MLBTS Yes, we all know they are bs. When I open close to 250 regular/biah/headliner packs and I get one Gerret Cole diamond player…the odds and percentages are [censored].
-
@chrisham8380_PSN The odds are garbage yes. They are 1/50 though. 1/50 for each pack. You can have terrible luck, but it's not rigged.

No matter how many packs you open your chances of a diamond are 1 in 50 for each pack. The amount of packs you open is irrelevant.

I wouldn’t have a problem if the mode actually functioned like a true rogue-like where if you fail/die, at least you’ve gotten a bit stronger and your chances next time are a little better. If I beat the stadium challenge and don’t get the card, my next run the starting percentage should increase a little bit.
-
I would suggest for the SC to get bonus % for scoring X runs or hits or HRs

@BJDUBBYAH_PSN Bro, the whole point of Diamond Dynasty is to continually get more/better cards so you can improve your team so you can tackle the next challenge. The whole POINT is to get cards. So when I don’t get those cards after multiple tries, it is a waste of time.
Once again, you’re expecting to be “rewarded” for playing the game. You’ll have a much better time if you play the game because you enjoy it, and play the modes you enjoy. I used to love Ranked, events and BR, as years have passed I’ve enjoyed it less, so now, I don’t play those modes and I have a much better time.
Maybe try that.

One time I played a whole little league game and didn't get ice cream after.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN And you clearly grew up to be a [censored]
-
The SDS apologists are something else. We are all entitled to our opinions but these people seem to ignore objective proof when it’s repeated right in their face to tirelessly support and champion the game like they own the company. It’s truly wild.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN Almost cult-like. Glad this is just a video game community and not something important.

One time I went to the casino, expecting to win tons of money playing the slots. The odds were clearly posted, but I expected to win every time. Well, I lost, so I blamed it on a conspiracy theory I had about casinos wanting people to hate them and never come back, but I went back, and lost again.
Stupid casinos.

I just hate that they took my two least favorite modes (moments and showdown) and turned them into a board game. If there was a DQ that had all 3 inning games on the challenge squares, I would play the hell out of it. They could even make the stadium challenges 9 innings to differentiate from the other games on the map.
My first thought was "this is too much like conquest", but the more I think about it I like this idea. Especially since there are no repeatable conquests right now, this would be a good way to have something repeatable to grind out missions while still getting some rewards. The Epic rewards wouldn't even need to be specific cards necessarily, it could be like 7,500 stubs or something, essentially about the same value as selling an epic reward.

What’s truly wild, is hating a game, year after year, complaining about how much you hate said game, year after year, on a community forum, and buying said game, every single year.
That’s truly wild.
