Diamond Quest Sucks

SD Studios has no respect for its players time. I’ve done the most recent Diamond Quest 5 times, and have had over 50% chance to get the epic cards every time, with one time being at 63% and another at 70%. I’ve gotten the Ottavino card once, and haven’t gotten the Jung card at all. I hate wasting my time and that’s what this mode is. If I complete the map and don’t get the cards, my percentage should automatically be increased for my next run. Stop making people grind for so long you get one card because the game decides it just doesn’t want to give the card out. Please SD Studios…please start respecting your players time. We’re the ones who pay you f***ing salary.
-
Yes the grind to reward balance is way off now because people had to ruin a good thing. SDS wants people to live on the game, spend tons of money, or both.
-
It’s a video game, it’s the ultimate waste of time. If you go into it with the mindset of relaxing and having a good time, and not that you need to be rewarded for playing it, you’ll br better off.
-
Love Diamond Quest. I appreciate that they gave us something new with solid rewards that are a good stub maker.
-
I just hate that they took my two least favorite modes (moments and showdown) and turned them into a board game. If there was a DQ that had all 3 inning games on the challenge squares, I would play the hell out of it. They could even make the stadium challenges 9 innings to differentiate from the other games on the map.
-
@P0pa-Cherry_XBL I actually really like this idea, then you would get stat progress and pxp more reliably.
But they also really need to allow you to get your odds to 100% if you succeed all the challenges. And not just for GOAT players. Being able to play on a higher difficulty should let you skip the grind sure, but it shouldn't be the only way you can get to 100%.
-
@Pergo_MLBTS The problem is that you can go through and succeed at all of the spots, and if you aren’t good enough to play on the top difficulty modes, then it can all be a waste of time because you didn’t get the rewards. I’m all for letting the better players get items faster, but for mere mortals like me, if I fail to get the item because of random percentages, the next time I try it my percentages should increase. It should not take me more than two successful runs to get the cards.
-
@BJDUBBYAH_PSN Bro, the whole point of Diamond Dynasty is to continually get more/better cards so you can improve your team so you can tackle the next challenge. The whole POINT is to get cards. So when I don’t get those cards after multiple tries, it is a waste of time.

I don't really see it as a problem. The percentages are there up front so you know what you are getting in to. I don't play the stadium challenges on the highest difficulties either. Highest I will go is All-Star because I don't want to risk losing everything. Even on Veteran and All-Star I get the rewards most of the time. It's worth the risk to make like 15k-20k stubs for about an hour of playing.
-
@Pergo_MLBTS It really is a poorly thought out mode. They built it as a rogue-like. But it doesn't play that way. You have no way of getting more "powerful" each run. You just have to get lucky.

I disagree. I think its a fun/easy way to make stubs. The "rogue like" comes in to play in increasing your changes to get the rewards by beating each challenge.
-
@Pergo_MLBTS It wouldn’t feel like a problem if it felt like the percentages were accurate, but we all know SD Studios “percentage chances” to get something are complete bs. And I don’t want to continuously grind this mode…I just want the two epic cards so I can move on. Again, I did the Diamond Quest 5 times, all 5 times I had a better than 50% chance to get the rewards, once with my chances at 70%, and I only got one of the two cards once. If you’re having success getting the cards, good for you. I’m not having the same success, and THAT is the problem. Two people playing the same thing and getting wildly different results because of “odds and percentages” is simply garbage.
-
As people grind this mode, the cards become cheaper all the time.
What’s that saying? What are we crying about today?
-
@Pergo_MLBTS That's not what a rogue-like is. You can like it if you want. But that doesn't stop the inherent problems with the mode.
It's just one more mode that rewards the top players more than everyone else.
-
@P0pa-Cherry_XBL so basically Conquest?
-
@chrisham8380_PSN I mean the percentages are RNG. It's literally illegal to lie about loot box percentages so they definitely don't. You have just been unlucky, which yes sucks and I agree is a problem. But lets not have a conspiracy about the percentages.

No we don't all know that the percentage chances are BS. That's just a conspiracy theory that people make up to make themselves feel better.
-
@yankblan_PSN Conquest but with perks and theme teams. By your logic Mini seasons is "basically conquest"
-
@Pergo_MLBTS Yes, we all know they are bs. When I open close to 250 regular/biah/headliner packs and I get one Gerret Cole diamond player…the odds and percentages are [censored].
-
@chrisham8380_PSN The odds are garbage yes. They are 1/50 though. 1/50 for each pack. You can have terrible luck, but it's not rigged.
