Franchise mode deserves more attention

@victoryphoenix_MLBTS said in Franchise mode deserves more attention:
I play franchise mode almost exclusively; now I'm going to say, Why is it that every other mode has rewards programs other than franchise? I never simulate any games, throw every pitch, or take every bat swing for my team. So playing 162 games then the post season, should get me more than 2500 xp per game, I have never purchased stubs, but other than doing the bare minimum to get icons and batters in Team Affinity, I just don't do Diamond Dynasty. Franchise mode is so much more the 'being a GM' It's managing, playing, and Being A GM. I would love to see the following changes to franchise mode.
XP rewards for playing (not swimming) games: 200,000 for 81 games, 500,000 for the entire season, and the same in team affinity points.
Bring back the sounds of the show. For those who used them, it really helped us create an immersive world.
Fix Stadium Creator adds to the immersive world and allows franchise players to create stadiums for their MLB, AAA, and AA teams.
Allow for configuration for franchise mode, stop the two throws to a base rule, as well as DH, extra runner, pitch clock that are already in the game.
Fix the audio for those who play with no DH to hear; it's surprising they are using a pitcher off the bench; they must be saving their position players for later. Is frustrating
Lastly and most importantly, make franchise files transferrable from year to year like they used to be.
DH and the extra innings runner are already available as options. I love to play with classic rosters, and really wish the pitch clock and pickoff limits could be turned off as well.

@totopapa_82_PSN pitch clock is something you can toggle off
And yes!! Bring back Sounds of The Show!!!!

I have been playing this game since 2006 and have been playing Franchise as long as I can remember. This mode has been neglected for years and years… this year they finally made enough adjustments and additions to make me want to buy the game.
I have been debating not buying the new addition for a few years now but I do have hopes that they will continue to improve this game mode.
The reason they don’t… they don’t make money from it. Which is why their franchise development team is soooooo small in comparison to DD development crew.
The two guys probably work their butts off all year but it’s only two guys. They could do so much more with this game mode to inspire people to play it again. Most people don’t play it because they don’t improve it and it’s so bare bones.

I don't care about XP because I don't know what I would use it for in franchise mode but I agree franchise needs more attention.
One thing I'm curious about is the most recent patch listed March to October under the franchise category. Are franchise developers being used for March to October?
-
Sponsorships, sounds and icons are the main things that could benefit in franchise mode from xp

@Victoryphoenix_MLBTS you’re absolutely right! Franchise is neglected and the future is DD. Anything about a realistic baseball experience is gone in this game. Just card packs and constant updates and programs for The card game kids.

I have worked in the retail, restaurant, and grocer industries during my work career, and one thing still remains true to the present day, if an item or some food is selling abduantly, it stays, if it's not; it goes. It's "The Law of Economics." Right now, Diamond Dynasty users spend more minutes playing this game and spend a lot more money than Franchise users. Why wouldn't SDS follow the model that makes them more money, and keeps them in business? It's "Market Capitalism" at work. Just my opinion!
-
Then why in 2019 did SDS create a second franchise mode called March to October? To me that's a major problem with franchise not getting as much attention as it could/should.
-
Remember the good ole days of online franchise. DD ruined a great community of baseball lovers. I am still friends with the folks I met playing online franchise. Any copy of the show I have bought since then has been chasing that experience(and a huge letdown).

It doesn't compute with sds that people play franchise mode, and actually play every game. I feel.like the forgotten stepchild. I miss the days of sounds of the show. No DH and playing smallball, stealing is too easy in 25. I play on legend and I'm 119 - 11.
That's ridiculous
