When are they actually going to address the issues with fielding?

this game is garbage i flirted with not buying the game this year but since i always do and is my favorite sport i went ahead and bought it next year this is not happening im keeping my $105.00

Massive improvements will need to be made for me to even consider buying 21. I honestly feel scammed by what they have done this year.

I wonder if they actually can. If the scripting is as baked into the game as I suspect it is they might not be able to fix it without scrapping the entire fielding system.

Hitting, fielding, pitching, and base running. Let's not make it seem like there is only one issue right now. Give them an array of issues and maybe, just maybe, one will actually get fixed for good.

I can deal with the hitting and pitching flaws, or the occasional baserunning issue - but combine all of that with not even being able to field the ball, then it's just unplayable. What are you supposed to do?

Here's the funny thing about this issue:
The following are the notes to patch 1.06. Notice the third bullet point.
In-Game
- Fixed a rare occurrence where deep hit balls could bounce under and through the OF wall, resulting in a ground rule double. We also fixed one occurrence where the ball could pass through the HR wall on the fly.
*Fixed a specific situation where the baserunner would go into base standing, when he needed to be urgently sliding.
*Slightly expanded the radius that a defender can successfully tag out a baserunner when they collide in the base path during rundowns or instances when the defender is going into a throw animation, while the baserunner is passing through him.
*Increased the ability of the pitcher to successfully tag out runners at home plate, when the pitcher has to cover home plate following a wild pitch or passed ball.
*Lead Runner Window will no longer display if the fielder or runner settings are set to “Auto.”

The fielding is the biggest and most glaring issue. I can live with the hitting and pitching as it is now. I think pitch speeds on HOF are perfect. When fielders can be on the icon and don't react to fly balls that's bad.

Not a single facet of this game plays right. I've stopped playing DD until there's a legitimate patch. I can deal with some flaws in a game, but this is extreme.

That’s a classic the show 20 start to a game, I feel you.
Sometimes the outfielders lock in to a fly ball nowhere near the marker and misses the balls. Happened to me to start my 12-0 br game.
