I have become so frustrated with pitching this year as it honestly feels like the timing for the perfect meter has changed substantially this year. I have long considered the best part of my game to be my pitching but this year I can’t for the life of me locate a single thing. And yes I know that the best players use pinpoint, but I’ve gotten to World Series many times using meter and it’s worked just fine for me in the past. I really want to know if anyone else is experiencing this, or if maybe I’m just washed. Maybe it’s just time to switch to pinpoint, who knows. Just really frustrated atm and hoping it’ll be fixed/addressed bc otherwise I might go crazy

I feel exactly the same. Feel like the timing on the pitching meter is very jumpy. Maybe they made it more difficult this year to get the leftover meter people to use pinpoint

It's definitely off right now, especially on cross-play (had to turn it off). I believe timing itself is fine, but registering the wrong input. I'll constantly get "Perfect" timing, then the pitchers arm visually glitches and the ball hits the batter or dirt and the post pitch indicator states "Very Late", like no input was recorded at all.

This may come as a shock to you but they really don't care what pitching or batting controls we use.

I actually use Meter, Analog, and Pinpoint. On any given day, I feel like I am better with one than the other. But I have noticed the forgiveness rate on Meter is way off. If you miss you spot.. Or even rush a little too quickly, that ball almost always goes right down the middle.

Saying that, I do use meter the least because of the lack of forgiveness, but I wouldn't be shocked if it was even more challenging this year.

@w1ck3dx24_PSN welcome to my world. And it’s always in an important spot of the game where the meter starts getting funky and then if you miss even a little it’s a meatball. It’s super frustrating

Pretty sure it is more “unforgiving” this year like everything else in the game. I can appreciate the added balance but like usual SDS overcorrected in my opinion. I’ve walked multiple batters on 4 pitches which never happened in previous years.

Yes because you hit a perfect meter and the ball goes wherever it wants takes away from the competitiveness of the game

@DingerDudez84_PSN have you tried cleaning out your cache and rebuilding your database for your playstation? Just found out this was a thing so i gave it a shot. Seems to be helping a little bit. Give it a try it might help.
